The apostle Paul understood what this word meant when he said, “To the weak I have become weak, I have become all things to all people that by all means I might save some.                    1 Cor. 9:22

The Great Commission has always been our destination, but with a constantly changing world scene and cultural shifts we may need to RECALCULATE to get there. 

Geoff Surratt our guest speaker knows all about this and will challenge our thinking in this whole arena.  Having planted churches and served in all size churches from small to mega size on both coasts Geoff brings a level of understanding, expertise and experience that will be refreshing and dynamic.

Author, Church Planter, Executive & Senior Pastor and current Managing Director of Exponential, brings his vast experience and knowledge to this year’s conference.

As Geoff says, I have been involved in every facet of ministry, served in fast growing and incredibly innovative environments, served in every size church from small to ginormous, have consulted with dozens of churches and worked with Leadership network in creating collaborative learning environments in the US and Europe.

Using humor and Passion, Geoff expresses complex truths in simple ways that move people to action.  With his strategic/prophetic bent he is able to see around corners to what is next and how to get there.  He is especially adept at clearly formulating strategy to move vision from dreaming to action.

After almost 30 years of vocational ministry Geoff says, I feel God has called me to spend the rest of my life adding value to kingdom leaders. I am nothing but a sinner saved by grace, anything I have to offer comes from my loving Heavenly Father who shows His sense of humor by using me as a conduit. 

Geoff has published 3 books through Zondervan: Ten stupid things that keep churches from growing, The Multisite Church Revolution and the Multisite Church Road Trip.  He also writes semi-regularly for Inner Revolution as well as ChurchPlanters.com.  He and his wife Sherry (President of Mops International) live in Denver, Colorado.

Worship Leader:
Joshua Nordgren, Josh began leading worship at his father's church in 1994. His passion for music was planted by his older brother Jason and grew stronger thru the death of his best friend Christopher James Cooper. Chris' death birthed Josh's music. Josh was compelled, forced to write and play as an outlet to process his own emotions and deal with the loss of his friend. He has toured with bands and recorded a few albums. 

As a believer in Jesus Christ, Josh has found tremendous joy in leading God's people in holy choruses. More than playing shows; Josh is passionate about leading worship with music. He was a worship leader at Hope Chapel Waikiki, Hope Chapel Huntington Beach, and currently leads at Ventura Missionary Church since 2007.  Joshua grew up in Honolulu, HI, is married to Taylor Nordgren, and father to Jack, Fin, and Sunny Lou.

Current available albums are: Songs of Deliverance, Big Big God (kids worship album), Acoustic Diary/ Modern Day Psalms and coming soon: a new single "Breathe Life"

Hispanic Ministries Speaker:

Toby Lazo, MCWD Hispanic Ministries Director was born in El Salvador.  He was called to the ministry in 2001 as Sr. Pastor of Victory Celebration in Burbank, CA resigning from his position in 2004.  After joining the Missionary Church, he officially started Ministerio Casa De Dios in Burbank, CA (House of God Ministry) Nov. 2004.  His ministry began with a handful of teenagers who believed in the vision that God gave him for the San Fernando Valley.  His vision centered on developing leaders and sending them to open new churches.  Toby is married to Rosa and has three children.
